TIBETAN NGO’S INTERACTIVE PROGRAM WITH GURU TULKU RINPOCHE, MLA DORJEE WANGDI KARMA AND MLA DONGRU SIONGJU

The renowned spiritual leader of Arunachal Pradesh and former Abbot of Tawang Monastery Guru Tulku Rinpoche, who received a Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, along with MLA Dorjee Wangdi Karma, MLA Dongru Siongju, Madam Sonam Chojom, and Dorjee Wangdi Namsa were warmly received by the Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibetan Women’s Association, National Democratic Party of Tibet and Students for a Free Tibet (India) on 30th March 2022.

High Tea and an interactive Program were organized in the TYC Office. TYC Joint Secretary Mr. Tsewang Rabgyal, Organizational Secretary Mr. Penpa Tsering and Information Secretary Ms. Lhamo extended heartfelt gratitude to Rinpoche for his constant support and involvement in the Tibetan Freedom Movement.

5 NGOS MEETING WITH CZECH DELEGATE

Honorable Jiri Oberfalzer, Vice President of the Czech Senate, accompanied by his Advisor, Secretary of Czech Embassy in New Delhi, Protocol Officer, and Interpreter met with representatives from 5 major Tibetan NGOs on 9th March 2022. The meeting went on for two hours and during the two-hour session, a wide range of topics from the Chinese invasion to the current critical situation inside Tibet was covered.

Mr. Tsewang Rabgyal, TYC Joint Secretary and the representatives from the civil society organizations thanked the Czech Republic government and its people for supporting the Tibetan Freedom Movement and also for diplomatically boycotting Beijing Winter Olympics.

TYC CONGRATULATE THE APPOINTED MINISTER OF TIBETAN GOVERNMENT IN EXILE

On 10th November 2021, Tibetan Youth Congress President and Organizational Secretary extended our hearty congratulations to former TYC Centrex, Kalon Gyari Dolma la, Department of Security, Kalon Tharlam Dolma la, Department of Education, and Kalon Norzin Dolma la, Department of Information and International Relations who took their oath as Kalon of the 16th Kashag.

TYC President participated in the Cross-Regional meeting in Barcelona.

At International Tibet Network’s (ITN) invitation, TYC President Mr. Gonpo Dhundup attended the first ever cross-regional meeting in Barcelona from 27-29 May 2022, convened by ITN. This was the first in-person meeting of the Tibet Support Groups (TSGs) since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over 55 participants, both Tibetans, and Tibet supporters, from 18 different countries spanning Asia, Europe, America, and Asia gathered at Casa Del Tibet for the three-day meeting to discuss, deliberate, and maximize the effectiveness of the worldwide Tibet movement.

During the meeting, Mr. Gonpo Dhundup introduced about Tibetan Youth Congress and its significance in the Tibetan Freedom struggle. He had also met with the representatives of numerous organizations and built networks with them for future collaborations with TYC.

ITN has held annual Regional meetings in different capitals of the world since its inception in the year 2000, which were disrupted by the pandemic.

TYC President chaired 17th RTYC NYNJ Executive Members Elections

Upon the invitation of RTYC NYNJ and decision by TYC Centrex, TYC President Mr. Gonpo Dhundup conducted and chaired the election of the 17th RTYC NYNJ executive members with the assistance from the former Presidents of RTYC NYNJ Mr. Ngawang Tharchin and Mr. Tenzin Kalden la. The election was witnessed by representatives of four major organization namely Tibetan Community NYNJ, Regional Chushi Gangtruk, Regional U-Tsang Association, Regional Domey Association.

The outgoing and newly elected executives of RTYC NYNJ with TYC President, former president of RTYC NYNJ and leaders of four major NGO in NYNJ.

The election was successfully concluded with seven new executive members. On 22nd May 2022, TYC President took charge of the oath-taking ceremony of the new executive members.
