AUSTRALIA TIBET COUNCIL GROUP VISIT THE CENTRAL TIBETAN YOUTH CONGRESS (TYC) OFFICE

On 11th November 2022, a group from the Australia Tibet Council visit the Central Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) Office. During their visit, the TYC President, Gonpo Dhondup, engaged in close interaction with the group and provided them with a comprehensive briefing about the་Tibetan Youth Congress, as well as the current critical situation inside Tibet.

 

The meeting served as a platform for the TYC President to share valuable insights into the Tibetan Youth Congress’s history, outlining its founding principles, objectives, and the significance of its activism. This allowed the visitors from the Australia Tibet Council to gain a deeper understanding of the TYC and other NGO’s role in advocating for the rights and freedom of Tibetans.

Additionally, President Gonpo Dhondup highlighted the ongoing critical situation inside Tibet, shedding light on the challenges faced by Tibetans under Chinese rule. This discussion covered various issues such as human rights violations, cultural suppression, and the struggle for freedom.
