Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) General Secretary Mr. Tenzin Lobsang, together with youth leaders including Mr. Tamo Gonpo Dhondup, current Member of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and former TYC Centrex President; VTAG National Coordinator Tenzin Woeser; and General Secretary Tenzin Palmo, had the privilege of meeting His Excellency Mr. Georg Peter Gerd Enzeriler, Deputy Ambassador of Germany in New Delhi, and his wife, Mr. Stefan Schott, Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF), and Ms. Nupur Hasija, Head of Programmes at FNF, at the Norbulingka Institute.
The meeting provided a meaningful opportunity to exchange perspectives on the Tibetan freedom struggle, the aspirations of Tibetan youth, and the importance of international solidarity in advancing freedom, democracy, and human rights. The German delegation’s sharing of the inspiring history of German reunification offered valuable lessons on perseverance, unity, and the enduring hope for freedom. For the Tibetan people, whose aspirations for justice and Rangzen remain unwavering despite decades of exile and repression, such historical experiences serve as a source of encouragement and renewed determination.

The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) extends its sincere appreciation to the German Embassy and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) for their continued engagement with the Tibetan community and for sharing the inspiring history of German reunification. The exchange offered valuable reflections on the enduring principles of freedom, democracy, unity, and the right to self-determination. Germany’s experience of overcoming division and achieving reunification served as a meaningful reminder of the power of perseverance, collective aspiration, and the unwavering hope for a future shaped by freedom and dignity.
The TYC deeply values opportunities to learn from the experiences of other nations and to strengthen relationships with international partners who recognize the significance of human rights, democratic values, and the preservation of cultural identity. We hope that these meaningful engagements will continue to foster greater understanding of the Tibetan cause and strengthen collective efforts toward a future in which Tibetans can live with freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
The TYC also expresses its heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Tenzin Choeyang, CTA Protocol Officer, for her continued coordination and dedicated efforts in fostering meaningful connections between the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and Tibetan civil society organizations.
