The Tibetan Youth Congress had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Sang Pu, Chairman of the Taiwan-Hong Kong Association, and Mr. Du Kee, Chairman of the Taiwan-Myanmar Citizens Association, to the TYC office. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for in-depth discussions on TYC’s campaign activities and collaborative ways to expose the human rights violations perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Government.
This afternoon, we had the privilege of interacting with Kungo Acharaya Yeshi Phuntsok la, former Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile; Shri Rishi Kumar from the Tibet Core Group; and Dr. Vishal Singh Nehria, BJP District President. We engaged in a fruitful discussion on various ways to strengthen our freedom movement.
During the celebration of the 64th Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy by the Tibetan Community in Holand, TYC Vice President Mr. Tashi Targyal la and Organizational Secretary Mr. Yeshi Choephel addressed the gathering. They highlighted the critical situation in Tibet and the vital role of TYC in our struggle for a free Tibet. They also emphasized the importance of unity among Tibetans in the face of Chinese oppression. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Holland Tibetan Association and the Tibetan community for their warm hospitality and invaluable support in making this event a success.
The President of the Tibetan Youth Congress along with representatives from four Tibetan NGOs, engaged in a productive meeting with a delegation from the Estonian Parliament. The discussion centered on the vital advocacy work undertaken by non-governmental organizations, and expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Estonian government and its citizens for their steadfast support of the Tibetan cause.
We were deeply blessed and honored to receive His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama back to Dharamshala after his successful knee surgery and a long life offering ceremonies organized by the Tibetan communities in the US and Europe.

TYC General Secretary and Joint Secretary joined a three-day strategic planning and advocacy workshop in Delhi, titled ‘Tibet in Global Climate Conversation hosted by the Tibetan Policy Institute.
The Tibetan Youth Congress, in collaboration with seven NGOs in Dharamshala, organized a candlelight peace rally to condemn China’s forced closure of the esteemed Ragya Gangjong Sherig Norbu school in Golog. The rally aimed to stand in solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet and condemn Chinese repression.
The Vice President of the Tibetan Youth Congress, along with representatives from other Tibetan NGOs, met with students and civil society representatives from Gangtok in Sikkim, at the Tibetan settlement hall, and briefed them on TYC’s campaign activities.
Meeting with Indian College Students Participating in the Gurukul Programme
On 20th June 2024, the TYC General Secretary, Sonam Tsering la, along with other NGO representatives, met with Indian college students participating in the Gurukul Programme of the Delhi-based Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The meeting, held at the TYC office, included a briefing on TYC and the overall Tibetan freedom movement.
The NGO representatives answered a wide range of questions posed by the participants on critical human rights issues in Tibet and the exile freedom movement. At the request of one of the participants, the TYC General Secretary recited two of his poems that portray the challenges faced by Tibetans in exile and their spirit of activism.
The organizing representative thanked TYC for providing the venue and expressed their gratitude to the representatives for their time and resources.
