• TENZIN CHOEGYAL (President 1974-76) : Alumni n St. Joseph School, Darjeeling, he did further studies in the USA also. He was a member of ATPD, he had been working of the private Office of H.H. the Dalai Lama for many years. He has also served at the Tibetan Children’s Village’s school, Dharamsala and in the Special Frontier Force, Dehra Dun. Later he joined the Security Office.

 

  • YESHI GYURME (General Secretary 1974-75) : Did his basic education in Tibet. Secretary of RTYC Dharamsala before being elected to the Centrex. He was active in youth activities and was the secretary at the TYC’s founding conference. He started working with the CTA after civil service training. He served as Assistant Secretary in the Council for Home Affairs and at the National Working committee in various capacities. Sadly, he passed away in September 1975 while being a member of Centrex.

 

  • TASHI WANGDI (Joint Secretary & General Secretary 1974-77) : Did his schooling from CST Mussoorie as well as the Wynberg Allen School and complete his B.A. from Durham University in England. He served the CTA in various capacities and was the Representative at the Bureau of H.H. the Dalai Lama for many years. He headed the Information Office (now DIIR) as Kalon twice and made many visits abroad. He was Kalon in charge of health and Religion and Culture and now heads of the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Delhi.

 

  • TEMPA TSERING (Joint Secretary 1974-76; Treasurer 1976-1977; Advisor 1977-83) : An alumni of Central School for Tibetan Mussoorie and Dr. Graham Homes at Kalimpong, he pursued further studies at Madras Christian College, earning a B.Sc. Served with Central Tibetan Administration for many years in various capacities and also worked at the Private Office for some time. He was the Secretary of the DIIR and also served as Kalon for Home Affairs.

 

  • LOBSANG WANGCHUK (Treasurer 1974-76; Vice President 1976-1977) : He was an alumni of the Mt. Hermon School and North Bengal University in Darjeeling. He served in CTA as Deputy Director the Self Help Center, Darjeeling, worked in the Private Office and Sarvodaya, Delhi. In 1992, he got a USIA scholarship to study in the USA and returned to continue government service. He worked at the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi. exile, he was the Chairman of 11th and 12th ATPD.

 

  • KUNSANG PALJOR (Public Relations Officer 1974-76) : Did his education in Beijing, Shanghai and Landu Minorities schools. As a journalist in Lhasa for the Tibet Daily newspaper, he was witness to the madness of the “Cultural Revolution” in Tibet about which he wrote in his book “Tibet, the Undying Flame”. He had been working with the CTA since then and also with the Research & Analysis Centre. He was a member of ATPD at on time and also served as executive member of NDPT. Sadly, before his untimely demise, he works as senior reporter at Voice of Tibet.

 

  • PEMA CHHINJOR KHANGTETSANG (Executive Member October 1975-April 1976) : Studied at D.A.V. College Chandigarh and earned his B.A. degree. Served as President (1971-1079) and Advisor 1990-1984) of regional TYC, Chandigarh. Taught Tibetan language and History in the Department of Central Asian Studies, Panjab University Chandigarh from 1974 to 1987. Wrote and publish ‘New Plan Tibetan Grammar & Translation’. He was a member of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and also serves as Vice President of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society at Bangalore.

 

  • LHASANG TSERING (PRO 1976; President 1986-1990; Editor of English “Rangzen”) : Graduated from Wynberg Allen School. Held various posts in RTYC Dharamsala. As Centrex President, traveled widely around the world on lecture to campaign for Tibet. Resigned from Centrex in 1990. In 1972 joined Chushi Gangdrug guerilla in Mustang. Served at TCV School as its Principal and Deputy Director and also served in SFF. Worked in the Information Office, and was acting editor of Tibetan Review for some time. He worked at the AMI, of which he is the one of the founder-Director.

 

  • TEMPA CHOEPHEL SAMKAR (Cultural Secretary & Public Relations Officer 1976-77) : Did his schooling from CST, and St. George’s College, Mussoorie. Did further studies from St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling in 1975. He held the post of Vice President of RTYC ,Darjeeling (1976-77). He served at the Private Office, Kashag Secretariat, Tibetan Settlement at Bylakuppe, Department of Information and International Relations and constitution redrafting. Presently he is the Secretary of Department of Health.

 

  • TEKHANG NAMGYAL DORJEE (Joint Secretary 1976-1977); Advisor 1977-83) : He had his basic education in Tibet. President of the RYC, Dharamsala before becoming Centrex member. Was the acting President during the third GBM of TYC. Served as teacher in Tezu, Deputy Secretary and later Secretary in the DIIIR, Secretary to the National Working Committee, Settlement Office at Ladakh and Kollegal, Secretary and now the Chairman of the Public Service Commission and Election Commission.
