Day 20
The Tibet’s Independence March is about to conclude. 20th day of march started at 8.30am from Poonamalle towards Chennai which is 15km away from the last halt. Though its very hot weather over here but we have planned to give more awareness and to get more attraction of the crowed since Chennai is a Capital City of Tamil Nadu and morning from 8.00am to 10.00am there is always lots of people on the streets, so we decided to start little late as compare to the previous few days. We could able to distribute thousands and thousands of pamphlets about the Tibet’s Independence March. The marcher reached Guindy Station around 11.00am which is city limit where the Chennai Tibetan Sweater Sellers and TSAM welcomed the marcher with minerals water which was very helpful for the marcher after marching long hours in the sun. Here the police ordered the TYC executive members not to carry national flags and not to shout slogans, which are clear that Chinese pressure is still exist. From Guindy Station to Egmore Station the marcher boarded into the local train because permission was not given to march inside the main city. The marchers reached Maha Bodi Society around 11.45am from Egmore, which is about ten minutes by walk that belongs to Sri Lankan Buddhist where the marchers will halt two nights i. e day 20th and 21st. The lunch was served around 2.00pm and afterward everyone got slept.
In the evening Mr. Konchok Yangphel, the Public Relation Secretary of TYC, Mr. Penpa Tsering, International Relation Secretary along with Mrs. Asha Reddy went to Airport to received Shri..Bashishta Narayan Singh,(M.P and Convenor of All India Parliamentarian Forum for Tibet) who will be the Chief Guest on 31st December 2007 during the conclusion function of TYC Tibet’s Independence March. On the other hand in Maha Bodi Society Koshok Sherab La has given a talk about the existence Karma, Previous and Next Life followed by question and answer.

Day 21
Day 21 is the second last day of TYC Tibet’s Independence March. At 11.00am TYC leaders Mr. Penpa Tsering, Int’l Relations Secretary, Mr.Tsultrim Dorjee, Information Secretary and Mr. Konchok Yangphel, Public Relations Secretary along with Shri. Bashishta Narayan Sigh, (M.P and Convenor of All India Parliamentarian Forum for Tibet). Mrs. Asha Reddy, The active supporter of Tibet, Koshok Jigme Gochak (Ex-Political Prisoner) Koshok Gyaltsen Wangchuk (Ex-Political Prisoner) which represented the all the political prisoners and some senior monks went for Press Conference at Chennai Press Club. Mr. Tsultrim Dorjee la briefly explained the five demands of TYC Tibet’s Independence March and Chinese threat to India. Mr. Penpa Tsering la highlighted the situation of Tibetan people inside Tibet based on Population Transfer, Human Rights, The Environment of Tibet and also briefly explained about the torture given to the Political Prisoners mentioning the example of above two ex-political prisoners. Shri. Bashishta Narayan Singh explained about the need of Indian Support to the Tibet’s Cause. At 1-00pm the lunch was served to the marcher by Tibetan Sweater Sellers Chennai at Hotel Victoria near by the Maha Bodi Society.
