TYC Tibet Independence Torch Relay Launched Dharamsala, March 25, 2008: The main objective of launching the Tibet Independence Torch Relay is to highlight the historical fact that Tibet was always an Independent nation until the Chinese invasion in 1949 and to protest the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch relay through Tibet. The Tibet Independence Torch Relay will also bring awareness to the International Community regarding the dire situation inside Tibet under the colonial occupation of China.

TYC condemns brutal crackdown on peaceful Tibetan protesters Dharamsala, March 25, 2008 - On behalf of the Six million Tibetans, TYC strongly condemn the most brutal and barbarous actions resorted by the China's Communist Party (CCP) on the series of peaceful Tibetan protestors in different regions of Tibet who were expressing their grievances and resentment against the Chinese regime.

TYC Women activists sat on Hunger Strike in Tihar Jail : Day 3 New Delhi - All the 36 TYC Women Activists were produced before the Special Executive Magistrate Court by the Chanakyapuri Police after their medical examinations at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Four Women members (Dolkyi, Thinlay Palmo, Tenzin Gawa and Migmar Choekyi) were seriously injured after severe beatings and lathi Charge by the Indian Male Police constables during their peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy on the 49th Anniversary of Tibetan Women's Uprising Day.

Tibetan Youth Congress Women Members storm Chinese Embassy New Delhi, March 12 - A group of 36 women members representing six regional chapters of Tibetan Youth Congress from Northern India including Dharamshala, Poanta, Herbertput, Tsering Dhondenling, Rajpur and Manali took part in a demonstration led by Ms. Tenzing Yangzom, Organization Secretary of TYC. Forum in Taipei urges International Boycott of Beijing Olympics The recently concluded International Forum on Human Rights in China and 2008 Olympics from 21st – 22nd February, 2008 was organized by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG), in conjunction with its Co – Organizers – The Taiwan Cultural Foundation, Human Rights Without Frontiers and The International Society for Human Rights.

IUSY World Congress’ Resolution reaffirms Tibet as an independent state Dharamsala, January 29: A resolution on Tibet adopted at the 27th World Congress of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) reaffirms Tibet as an independent State and condemns the illegal occupation of Tibet by China.The resolution reaffirms the 5-point resolution passed during the IUSY Asia Pacific Committee Meeting held last year and, which, among others, accepts Tibet as an independent State and condemns the illegal occupation of Tibet.

TYC led Tibet’s Independence March concluded TYC [ Wednesday, January 2, 2008]
January 2, 2008: Tibet Independence March, covering a distance of almost 500 kms within 21 days across three Southern Indian States of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, culminated here in Chennai city on the 31st December with a grand closing ceremony.

Updates of Tibet Independence March Day 20 and 21 The Tibet’s Independence March is about to conclude. 20th day of march started at 8.30am from Poonamalle towards Chennai which is 15km away from the last halt. Though its very hot weather over here but we have planned to give more awareness and to get more attraction of the crowed since Chennai is a Capital City of Tamil Nadu and morning from 8.00am to 10.00am there is always lots of people on the streets, so we decided to start little late as compare to the previous few days.

Updates of Tibet Independence March Day 16 and 17TYC [ Saturday, December 29, 2007]
December 29, 2007: Since we have to cover only 15kms and as per instruction from the office of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) at Sripeerumbudur, we must reached there only after 4-00 pm, where we halt the night of day 18. The morning was little bit of relax but they had very huge dialectical debate between monks of Sera Jhe and Drepung Loseling. The topic of debate was the next Buddha “Jetsung Jamgong was not an Enlighted”

Tibetan Youth Leadership Training Five day long Tibetan Youth Leadership Training concludes with the participants taking an oath in front of the portrait of His Holiness the 14 th Dalai Lama, making a pledge of commitment to oneself and lighting a lamp of devotion in the closing ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Venerable Beri Jigme Wangyal, Tibetan Historian and an ATPD member as the Chief Guest and Acharya Lhakpa Tsering, Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies as guest of honor.

8th Annual Tibetan Youth Leadership Training organized by TYC begins in New Delhi.The 8th Tibetan Youth Leadership Training (TYLT) began on 22nd December, 2007 at TCV Tibetan Youth Hostel, Rohini, New Delhi City. The significance of TYLT can be measured from the 2004 TYC General Body Meeting which unanimously passed a resolution for the inclusion of TYLT as an annual activity of TYC Centrex. The inaugural of the TYLT was graced officially by the Chief Guest Mr. Karma Chophel, Speaker of the Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies (ATPD).

Tibet Independence March Day 15 Since Tibet’s Independence March entered in Tamil Nadu the weather becomes hot in each and everyday which is creating trouble to the marchers such as thirsty, sweating, burning in the sun, head ache and etc. Day 15 is also no different. The Tibet’s Independence Marcher got up at 4-00 am and gathered in the hall at 4-30am for morning prayer and had break fast at 5-00am. At 5-30am the march started from Damal Village towards Kanchipuram.

Tibet Independence March Day 13 As usual day 13th march began at 6-00 am sharp from Ratnagiri Temple toward Walajapet as the weather looks to be a hot, humid and cloudy as marcher have to cover 20km.Exactly as prediction weather was humid and hot too but marchers determination was like a mountain.
The marcher reached Vedavalli Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School,Walajapet around 11-00 am where the school management along with Aunty Usha Christ a well known Photographer who have been to Tibet in 2000.
